MARC GAONA 1954-2012 (Funeral Information)

Marc Gaona died on Monday, 23 January 2012. He was born in Sweetwater, Texas on 13 August 1954 and grew up in the North Texas area. He made his living as a barber and professional hairdresser, beginning at the famous Hairberdashers in Dallas and most recently at the Hair Haven in Hurst, Texas. He was also a professional driver and dispatcher at AutoDrive USA in Arlington. He lived in Grand Prairie with his wife and mother during the final years of his life.

Marc Gaona was one of the few people who truly deserves the title "beloved by all". He was a soft-spoken, gentle man with a loving heart and a helpful and unselfish spirit. He was a man upon whom his friends could depend for help at any hour of the day, and was always ready with an encouraging word and (when asked) sound advice.

He was a Ford man, a basketball fan, and a blues lover. He loved cats, kids, barbeque and cutting hair. He heartily disliked the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carla Akin; his mother, Mrs. Maria Gaona; his father, Jose Gaona; his brothers, David and Mike Gaona; his sister, Mrs. Erma Russell; as well as nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and co-workers than can be listed here. He is preceded in death by his brother, the late Freddy Gaona.

Marc Gaona will never be forgotten. He will be missed by all.
